Andy Cook : Bass/Guitar/Synths and samples.
From the age of 14, when I discovered the delights of the bass guitar, I started gigging pretty soon with local Midlands bands, mainly punk/alternative stuff.
During the late eighties/early nineties I EXPERIMENTED.... with various music forms from acid house to psychedelic guitar. During the mid nineties I was part of the infamous Lysergic Orange, a legend in Shropshire band folklore.
After my move to London in 1996 I had various sessions with people such as 'Bjorn again'... ( oh Yes ! ) and eventually joined a band called Spymaster.
We played guitar pop and showcased for the likes of Dave Bates (Polygram) and Alan Wright (formerly Creation) but although the music was there we didn't quite grasp that "Britney Spears video extra" look and hence we fell apart.
After many years of playing the London circuit I finally decided that the standard guitar band thing was getting a bit passe and this has inspired me to try and create the sort of music that I want to listen to when I'm chillin' out.
My musical liaison with Mark has enabled us to get down some fairly simple but soothing ideas, without all of the muso pretension and huge ego jousting that usually takes place within the guitar band format.
I hope you enjoy our tunes... remember to give them the right setting and state of mind and you'll understand why we like them so much.
